More than 35 soldiers attending an Army training camp in Karnataka’s Hassan district were admitted to a hospital at Sakleshpur after complaining of food poisoning on Wednesday.
The soldiers were undergoing driver training in a military camp at Kudugarahalli and fell ill after dinner on Tuesday night, according to Sakleshpur MLA Cement Manju.
Manju met the soldiers recuperating at the Crawford Hospital. He told The Indian Express that around 100 people had eaten the food. “They had rice, dal and paneer for dinner. They developed food poisoning,” he said.
