This nutrient-rich vegetable popular for it sweetness is nothing more than a blessing, as it can be enjoyed in several forms. This is why, sweet potatogets popular during fasting period, as its rich in carbohydrates, has low glycemic index, which makes it a healthier alternative to regular sweets potatoes. Upon receiving several complaints, Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (FSSAI ) has recently shared tips on social media to identify the purity of sweet potatoes. Here are a few tips that the authority has shared. Identify by Colour : FSSAI has released an informative video to identify adulteration of sweet potatoes. How to identify adulteration of sweet potatoes? Dip a cotton ball in water or oil. Now, rub this cotton ball on the outer surface of the sweet potato. If the cotton ball remains clean or no colour comes out while rubbing, then the sweet potato is edible
