It is essential to check the manufacturing and expiry date before purchasing any packaged food product,” he said. He further advised consumers to use their sensory observations while purchasing raw food items. “If someone is buying fish, they should check its freshness. Similarly, when purchasing snacks, they should ensure no harmful coloring agents are used. People must trust their sense of smell and taste to detect if a product is substandard,” he added.
